Android Business Models Part Two

This blog post series illustrates business models for Android that go beyond simply dumping an app out on the Android Market and praying for sales. Yesterday , we looked at markets beyond individuals that you could sell to. Today, let us look at some “freemium” models, where you give away the app to lots of people, and sell something else to some of them. In the classic “publish and pray” model of the Android Market, as described yesterday, you are counting on X% of the users visiting the catSoftware can be expensie to buy. Purchasing OEM software will cost much less. When you buy it, you receive only the license or serial number, and CD's for the software. The expensive part is the documentation and the box is comes with. When you purchase a new computer, OEM usually comes with it already installed. First term of summer comes to an end

As the first term comes to a close, it seems to me like the weather becomes hotter. Psystar Is Bankrupt

What if Microsoft covertly set up a company which sold OEM computers running the Mac operating system just so Apple would sue them, leading to a ruling in court against Apple? This and similar conspiracy theories were tossed around in abundance amidst the trial between Apple and Psystar , a small company selling OEM machines with Mac OS installed on them.
